Remixing tropicalia with lots of contemporary references, Graveola is today the most important band from new Minas Gerais scene, in terms of national audience and international representativeness.
Their music has been described by The Guardian as a blend of mutantes with the mamas and the papas, and praised by important radio figures like Gilles Peterson, Cerys Mathews and Max Reinhardt.
During the past five years, Graveola have toured many european festivals and venues, including highlights such as FMM Sines (Portugal, 2011), Womex (Greece, 2012), Latitude Festival (UK, 2013), Funkhaus Europa Summerstage and Copa das Culturas (Germany, 2014)
In 2015 they are releasing a new EP, live-recorded in an old-school studio in London during their last tour.
Their next full album is now being recorded with Chico Neves, brazilian producer who worked with such important artists as Lenine, Gilberto Gil, Paralamas do Sucesso and Los Hermanos. It will be released in early 2016.
